How feminism is sweeping Bluecoat Academy Wollaton

This Girl
Can is an organisation, which has been set up with the aim of getting more
girls into sports and help overcome their fears of being judged. At Bluecoat
Wollaton a This Girl Can group has been set up and are hosting clubs every
Thursday lunchtime.
Not only has This Girl Can helped girls
in Bluecoat Wollaton get into sports, it also has helped girls around the
country from numerous clubs. Two million
fewer 14 – 40 year old women take part in sport when compared with men; despite
the fact that 75% of those women say they want to be more active. As a result
of the campaign 1.6 million women have started exercising.
More
recently it was the 100 year anniversary since women got the vote and feminists
across the world have been getting involved in things like protests and parades
to bring notice to this major subject. We have certainly come a long way!
